Customisation Policy

From Telepedia Meta Wiki, Telepedia's central hub
Note: This is currently a draft.

Customisation and community identity are one of the cornerstones of experience on the internet, and Telepedia should be no different. As a result of this, we empower our communities to express themselves in any way they choose. Despite this, however, we must enforce logical limits on what communities can and cannot do in terms of customisation.

General Guidelines

What is and isn't permitted?

Advertisements One of the non-negotiables of our customisation policy is that customisation should not disrupt the basic functionality of the advertisements we deliver on wikis. These advertisements should always be seen as they were intended, and should not be altered in any way, shape, or form.
Global Elements The basic global elements that represent the Telepedia brand identity should not be modified, or removed, in any way. These are the basics of our brand—they also show you belong to a wider community. These include, but are not limited to, the global navigation and global footer if the skin you're using has one.
